Are taxes charged in Canada if shipping from one province to another?

Most provinces have two taxes - federal and provincial. The federal tax (5%) is applied, but not the provincial one.

There is a major change coming next year when Ontario (the most populous province) moves to what they call a Harmonised Sales Tax which effectively rolls the two taxes into one and eliminates the possibility of splitting the taxes for out of province buyers.

When I have hooked people up with my AD who are out of Ontario they are only charged 5% tax.

hmmm...ive got a lot of family in montreal... This could be a nice money saver.

Well my AD will happily ship to Montreal and only charge 5% tax, and obviously happy to do an introduction if it helps on the discount. Keep an eye on the exchange rate though - got about 2 1/2 - 3 cents better for Canadian / worse for US last week.
