My Chronomat doesn't glow at all, but then again, it's a 1997, and was never serviced - BUSA said "Needs new hands/dial" along with the rest of the service, so I guess that'll fix the problem - Been 4 weeks, 4 days (but who's counting  ) since I approved the work, so another 2-4 weeks based upon the standard 6-8 week estimate (do I sound like I want my watch back? Me, nah - I finally buy a good watch, and I ship it away 2 weeks after buying it for overhaul)

I understand replacing the hands, but why did the dial need replacing?

Hmm...if it was just a matter of lume fading, you can have it relumed without replacing the dial. There are companies that specialize in Super Luminova replacement, and my understanding is having the process done will not result in Breitling refusing to service the watch in the future. If the dial itself was fading, then replacement would be warranted. I know it's a little late now since you authorized the work, but it might be something you want to keep in mind for the future.

No Jackson I won't give up! I can't say I've seen it all till there is an iced out BB.

You know, I'm morbidly curious to see one myself, except I can't bear the thought that someone would actually do that to such a great watch when it could have gone to someone who would have treated it with dignity and respect. It would be fun to see Al go apoplectic, though, so maybe I'm with you on this one.

Sorry that took longer than I thought it would.
The strap pictured on the BB over the Cameras is a Breitling 740P, it is however aged with a cunning technique.

PM me if you want to know.
