Hey Roger - I'm thinking that bracelet on your World is a Navitimer bracelet, not a Pilot bracelet. 7 rows? :poke:

Well, I finally went ahead and ordered my polished Pro II Bracelet, and I was wondering how flashy it will be... then I saw this thread and it made me question even more. I hope its not too overpowering. Any thoughts?

DUDE! It's a 20mm tapering to 18mm bracelet. It will NOT seem "overpowering." That would be a physical impossibility.

$100 against your bracelet that you end up loving it. You in?

Glad I didn't take that bet... I got the Pro II today.... wow, a whole new watch... I absolutely love it.

15mm I believe- same as the GMT IIc. It looks OK. But the DSSD at 44mm with a 22mm lugwidth drops dwon to the same clasp size. The profile makes me want to sing "Good Ship Lollipop."

Sorry to bring this up again, but are the dimensions on the redesigned bracelet that's on the 116610LN (with the Glidelock clasp) the same as on the older model on the 16610? Are they both 20/15, or did they alter the dimensions on the newer bracelet?

When I was at the AD trying to pick a watch as my wedding present. I really was drawn to the AS, but before I was always used to wearing brushed bracelets on my watches. So the polished finnish was off putting and made me second guess in the store for a long time. I desided to take the chance as the AS was really whispering sweet nothings in my ear.

Never looked back since! Best desicion I could have made. I´m really surprised how much I became love the polished finnish over brushed in just about 15 min after got it on my wrist.

I do think it´s a bit flashy, but in no way in an in your face or in a bad taste kind of way.

The Deep Sea Sea Dweller has a 21mm lug width, but the clasp is still at 15mm. THAT ratio combined with the profile view against the massive case were the major factors in my decision to return one after 10 hours of "ownership." To me - MO only - it seemed wildly out of proportion. I couldn't get past it.

Is it a fair assumption that if the DSSD clasp is at 15mm, then the latest Sub is as well? In the end, they're only numbers, but it helps me get a sense of proportion, relative to other brands. I suppose if I really wanted to know, I could just go to an A/D with a set of calipers and measure for myself, but that's awfully geeky. (As it is, because I do so much research online, I end up sounding like a total watch geek speaking code; I can only imagine the looks on their faces if I actually pulled out calipers...but I'll do it if I have to.)

The clasp width on the DSSD is the same as the GMT Master IIc. I believe the new Sub is the same. The proportions on the 40 mm GMT and Sub look just right IMO.
