Can anyone confirm that the version with batons in fact ONLY comes with a brushed (ie non-polished) face and bezel?

My AD has this, but I would prefer it with a polished case!!

Thanks in advance

The case and bracelet are fully polished. Only the top of the bezel is brushed. Just about every polished Breitling follows this same design cue.

Thanks RJ

I haven't been fortunate enough to see how a brushed casing looks paired with a polished bracelet? Does it "go"? Or am I stuck with only leather, rubber, croc alternatives?

Thanks again

I think youve misread my reply. The casing and bracelet are BOTH polished. The only brushed surface is the top side of the bezel. Some thing as the Super Avenger, Avenger, Chronomat and most other models.

Apologies, I did misread... However I can confirm this is incorrect. Just this morning I had a Code Yellow on my wrist (local AD) and the top of the casing was a brushed finish (as was the top of the bezel), all other SS parts were polished. The bracelet offered for this watch is polished. The watch was displayed with a leather strap but when I asked to pair it with the bracelet it looked very funny... thoughts/opinions/comments?

These samples are not with batons. The only conclusion I and the AD can draw is that the baton style has a different finished case to the numbers style.

I have also inquired whether my local service centre can polish the face of the casing. The answer was it can be done easily, however, Breitling will not allow any modification of a watch (especially a limited edition) and so they will not do it. Pretty frustrating

As opposed to a brushed case that would look like this:

Yes, it is... Thanks RJ. I'm still puzzled why this is so.

OK, so my AD's merchandising manager as well as a sales rep from a forum sponsor have both confirmed this is true --- Baton dial = brushed finish on top-side of casing (rest of casing is polished)

If you know of otherwise, please let me know. Thanks

The batons make the dial look a little less busy in my opinion. I like the this timepiece, but I would like it even better on a bracelet.

I bought mine a few months ago while working overseas. Number 599/1000. I had the dealer put the bracelet on it before I left. There are pics on a few of my posts.

I actually have the Code Yellow with baton markers incoming. It is brushed on the top of the case and polished on the sides. I had them put a brushed pro II bracelet on it in addition to the strap it comes with. I wanted the Code Yellow but was not a fan of the high polished Numbers on the dail. The AD I had been dealing with just got this version in and they confirmed the Baton verison has a brushed top case. I also had a good friend go in and check to make sure for me. I will post some pics when it gets here. :)

PS...He sent me phone pics which are not the greatest, but if anyone would like to see them, let me know and I will download them to the photobucket and post.

Here are the pictures my good friend sent me from his phone. I was in doubt of it being brushed on top too. He lived near by the AD and he went over and called me from the store and took these for me and I owe him :) I will post some more shots when she arrives too.

I like my Blings on a bracelet more than straps so I wanted to make sure. I have the strap it came on coming with it but I am sure I will keep the bracelet on it. I think it is more satin than brushed.

My AD has this, but I would prefer it with a polished case!!

The case and bracelet are fully polished. Only the top of the bezel is brushed. Just about every polished Breitling follows this same design cue.

Actually, the top of the case and bezel are satin finish. The sides of the case and bezel are polished. I just saw one at an AD this past weekend, and a buddy ended up buying it. This is the baton dial I'm referring to. BTW he had it put on a satin or brushed pro II bracelet, and it looks amazing!
