:yeahthat and it's the female part of the family that has problems understanding

For example, I give personally my BMWs a special treat at least once a month, especially polish and leather care.

For that, I've been treated from crazy to sick for the same reasons but what the heck, they don't know what they're talking about, right Brian? :)

Oh sure.

My wife doesn't understand why I constantly gripe about the condition of her vehicle. It's dirty to me, but not dirty to her. This is why I do not allow her to drive my Corvette. The Corvette is weekends only, and doesn't see rain.

I spend an hour cleaning the Corvette, and 3-4 hours when I clean the Tahoe.

I expect her to take care of the vehicle she drives, but I end up doing it.

what is it with women and taking care of their cars??? my wife use to do the same thing. its like i was her personal car cleaner. i would wash my car and take a few hours to detail the inside and clean the rims (im anal about clean rims and theyre a bitch to clean) and she would just come outside and say "can you do my car too since all the cleaning supplies are out"???

the best was she took my benz to work one day after i washed it and parked it under a tree....well couple days later i noticed some tree sap on the hood WTF?!?!?! only explination i got was.."sorry"

Good question!

Oh no. Tree sap? That usually requires a buff if it's been on for a long period of time. Yikes. I'm with you on the wheels too. Some autos are worse than others on accumulation of brake dust. I spend a lot of time on wheels when I'm cleaning them. I try to keep as much polish as I can on the wheels and try to get it knocked off quickly as possible so those hot brake dust particles don't pit the wheels.

I clean them at least once a week. That way, they're easier to clean and there is no accumulation of brake dust. I also apply Cilit Bang on them before spraying with hot water, so every stain goes away real easy.

Same here, but, for a woman, as long as a car rolls it's all it takes. Even though you have to admit that there is barely a little more space in the Tahoe than in the Corvette.

I use my 540iA Touring more often than on weekends and it's pretty suitable for carrying wines cases for work, but I avoid using it when it rains as well and it sure stays in when it snows and the roads are salty.

It's in pristine condition although it's 11 years old now with nearly 100'000 miles on the clock. My wife's reaction to its condition? "It's normal, you never use it"

To the person who started the thread:

Image

Sorry for jacking the original thread!

Our Tahoe is 11 years old as well and it has 62,000 miles on the clock. My wife works about 5 miles round trip from her office so she doesn't drive much. The Corvette will be 3 in February and it has 7700 on the clock. I work for an auto dealership, so I have a company car that I'm in for 90 minutes a day, 62.8 miles round trip that I use to commute in. I do enjoy maintaining both of our autos though.

From this angle, it doesn't look as large.

i'm hoping to have the same collection soon. I already have a datora, and world. I am starving for an avenger. One question, is it me or does the white and silver SA have a blue tint to it. Don't me wrong, i think its extremely sexy and the blue tint makes it so much more interesting.
