I wear my black dialed Steelfish every weekday. Its got lots of little dings and scuffs and I love it. Its on an Ocean Racer and the clasp is so scuffed it actually looks brushed! Its a great everyday watch and I recommend it.

Yeah – my Bentley GT.

Sure, it’s accumulated some scuffs over the last couple of years, but from what I’ve read, if I send it to Breitling for a service, which I will do no later than 7 years from purchase, it will come back looking like new again.

All of these beasties are meant to be worn regularly. And I’m sure many contributors to this site can relate to instances where they’ve worn their ‘daily beater’, received a compliment, and said something like “hey, if you reckon this is cool, you should see my [insert watch reserved for ‘special occasions’]”.

Wearing a nice watch – as opposed to just keeping it safely tucked away – can be a very rewarding experience. I’ll often find myself admiring my GT, especially in the mornings or evenings when the sun is low in the sky and sparks up the dial with a golden glow.

I’m a lawyer in the maritime industry, so mostly a desk jockey. But sometimes I’ll find myself in engine rooms, or out in rough seas – unless it involves sand (it just takes one recalcitrant silica nasty to go to work on polished stainless steel, in which case I’ll wear a vintage mechanical Seiko chrono), my GT is with me.

Wear it and enjoy it I say.

Hi All !

For the longest time my everyday watch was a Breitling Navitimer an Old Navitimer II on a steel bracelet Snowbird Edition 1995. I have done everything in this watch except getting it wet - lol ! And if I recall correctly I think I have done that as well until, it was brought to my attention by a service person that the Navitimers were not intended to get wet or more precisely that they do not like water - that was not until my second year of ownership. I bought this watch brand new in July of 1998. Although I did get another watch a year later a Jaeger Le Coultre Master Date - the Jaeger did not get much wrist time. I think that all that talk about Navitimers being delicate is silly - like I said before I have done everything with the Navitimer with the exception of getting it wet after it was brought to my attention. However, this does not mean that I have abused my watch either - I have never dropped it or gone shooting with it - when I lived in FREE AMERICA - PA. :guns: :guns:

As of yesterday I am the proud owner of a Ti Seawolf Yellow Dial on a Professional II Bracelet, I also have the aforementioned Navitimer and the 50th Anniversary 2002 Silver Dial on a steel bracelet. I will say that I will alternate and wear all three watches; however, I admit that for all intent and purpose my new (pre-owned) Ti Seawolf will be my everyday Breitling !

I simply fell in love with the Ti Seawolf Yellow Dial !

Best Regards,

Enezdez

I've finally settled into a routine rotation with my Lings. During the week it's my Chrono M1 with my flight suit or utility uniform, Aerospace when I have to wear blues or attend a dressy event, and my Avenger Seawolf on the weekends when I'm in the ocean.

I guess I'm like most of you and try to rotate through my watches during the week.
Work shirts are navy blue and black. So I wear my grey dialed Hercules when I wear blue and my black dialed Skyland when I wear a black shirt...I know...so scientific in my pattern!
I am always aware of my watch on my wrist not to "abuse" it, and I take them off when I'm casting a patient as not to get them covered with plaster or fiberglass.
I work with my hands alot during the day and with some nasty stuff, resins etc..., but I still wear my watches to work...I've learned and am still learning to not let things like my car and watches control me...still learning though
Sometimes I think I'm collecting too many watches and running out of time to wear them...and I certainly don't have alot compared to some folks.
I would definately look at a Hercules for a daily watch. It's a nice tough chunk of metal and can be had for a decent price.

I Bought my first Breitling a couple of months ago. I nice CSO. I had never spent more than £200 on a watch until now. I thought i would never wear it daily but just cant help it ! got a few marks on it but to be honest it does not show too much. I do own a g-shock geiz i bought in japan if im doing anything 'nasty'.

My chrono colt gets worn everyday regardless, i dont get too hung up about the odd nick or mark as it will never get sold only passed down to my lad who already has his eyes on it (at 14). worn every day this week surfing....... watch performed better than the wearer!

My "everyday" watches are my Steelfish and my IWC Ingenieur (which doesn't
make a bit of sense since it cost almost three times what the fish did  ).
But they both suit my daily needs, are very practical, very comfortable. I had an EVO for
about a year and wore it all the time. I found whatever scratches the watch endured could
be easily dealt with with a good Cape Cod brushing. Wear that watch -- that's why you bought it! :D

Ron- as always, I'm in love with both your watches and your pictures.

Zeek- Interesting, I was just in "BIOT" yesterday, and fly through there every few weeks. Not many people out there that would know what that is! You there for just a year?
