I've owned my SA for about six months now and it's been my majority wearer ever since. As you can see, I was lucky enough to get a 2007 model (Pro II bracelet, Bigger wings) and I'm a relatively little guy (5'8" 155 lbs.) and I've not received one negative reaction. Sure, people say that it's a behemoth, but it's a commanding prescence, and at the same time, very elegant, if you ask me.

This single watch made me store all my Rolexes and IWC's. I don't care what kinds of stereotypes people have about Breitlings, I buy them for me, not for anyone else to appreciate.

That being said, I've also purchased a Bell & Ross BR01-94. Which has roughly the same prescence as the SA. But since the SA is thicker, it just appears to look like a monster.

And now some wristshots. And interesting note to add: I've tried on the White dial SA and it does APPEAR to be larger. I think it's because of the eye perception.

Nice watch, nice pics!

I think I should try the black dial SA... I love the idea of the SA, but i've only tried the white dial SA on and it looked too big on me.

I really think you should try the black dial. For me, it balances out the difference between "tool watch" and "bling watch"!

I've seen for some people it looking too big, but it could be that these same people are used to wearing 40mm's and smaller/thinner than 12-14mm.

Stereotypically speaking (again!), I have "asian" wrists (I, too, am Asian) which are maybe 6.75". And judging from my pics, it seems to fit nicely and not like a flava flav piece! :D

Admin,

The Black Dials don't look as big as the white or silver dials. If you want to see what I mean go to the Breitling website and go to the Bentley Motors picture, then click the right arrow to take you through the different colors. You will notice when it goes to the silver dial it immediately looks bigger. I have a silver dial which really looks white when you view it straight on and these dials make the watch look bigger. Go with a black or blue dial for your Full Ling if you are worried about it looking too big.

I feel your pain, i'm only 5'6 and my navitimer looks big on my wrist. I have never tried on a super avenger, but after seeing patrick antonius with a SA on poker after dark, I am assuming it will look like a clown watch on me. I mean antonius is 6'0 ft + and it looks huge on his wrist.

Yeah I think the SA is kind of meant to be a big standout watch. When I went to La Swiss they told me that the SA was their best selling watch... due to size and price. Cheaper than an Evo, but more blingy. Criss Angel wears a SA on his show sometimes and he's a huge dood and it looks big on him too.

What is the differences that an 07 Super Avenger has? Can someone post pictures of the specifics?

Thanks!

Neil

I remember when I tried one on the size wasn't what suprised me it was the weight. It was a good feeling, I think I could kill a robber by throwing it at his head.

I've just purchased a Super Avenger for my dress watch, i currently wear a Skyland Avenger Blacksteel for my 'daily beater' and at 45mm i think i can get away with the size of the Super Avenger.

Im looking forward to receiving it tomorrow.

Where are all of the wrist shots of the SA??

Admin,

We went to Palm Beach Saturday and visited Tourneau jewelers and they had a HUGE selection of Breitlings. I tried on the Super Avenger and the problem is the thickness. The Super Avenger is 48.4 MM and my Bentley Motors is 48.7 MM so the Bentley is actually a little lager in diameter than the Super Avenger but it's OK because it's not as thick. The Super Avenger is 18.6 MM thick and the Bentley Motors is 15.2 MM thick so that's where the difference is. I'm waiting for a local dealer that takes trade ins to get a Bentley 6.75 with a Blue or Black dial. He will give me a good price for my 2 Chronomats and then I will just pay the difference and get the 6.75 . However I still like the looks of the Super Avenger but now I'm hooked on the Navitimer/Bentley style Lings with the slide rule bezel and all of the different functions .

Does anyone know the actual thickness of the 6.75 - this site says it is 15.6mm compared to the Motors 15.2 - but surely the Bentley wheel on the back makes more than 0.4mm difference - other sites have varying thicknesses up to 17.4mm - cant believe I havent got a ruler in my house to measure mine

Old thread but I'll comment. I have a 8 inch wrist so I can get away with a 50mm quite nicely. :)

I saw an article on the net recently which showed Sly Stallone trying on some wacthes ( u boat i think ) and had to laugh at his comments ...

"I went up to 45mm diameter & then Arnold went to 50mm"

"So these are 50mm yeah"

:D

I'll join the party as well. Too big and thick for me...however there obviously really is no right answer as it's all individual.

Who knows that might even change over the years to come...but maybe not by that much
