Ok...another Covid-19 strap purchase from boredom... I guess my faded blue croc pictured in the middle wasn't blue enough. Picked up this Blue Breitling Calfskin 105x for my A13022 just back from Hanger 7. Combo screams casual IMHO...and looks better with shorts etc. at least for me! Don't worry I have a pair of pink checkerboards but my 18 y/o son said...NO pink straps allowed. I agree. |

Did you choose reference A13353 like mine ? I am fan of the model so more info about different flavours of Blackbird can be found in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=64156 Yes, the strap size is 20 mm. Breitling leather is great but rubber, canvas or other synthetic materials (like Lorica in picture above) also work great with brushed tactical look. |

Don’t know how I missed your post the first time around, but it is fantastic! Thanks so much for the time and effort you put into it! Incidentally, would I be right in surmising that your screen name has something to do with drinking coffee in the cockpit? |

I did come across that article when I researched (Googled) the Blackbird a bit and looked albeit quickly for a A13353 but ended up taking a chance on a A13350 based on it's condition and relatively low price...and it had box and papers I am very curious to see how this 39.8 mm wears all the photos make it seem like its a "large 39" but not sure...and maybe just maybe I'll finally keep/wear a Breitling bracelet!!! I'm hoping I like it so I can start hunting for a A13353 and a A13350.1 I'm sure I'lll have some questions so stay tuned! Maybe we need to start a new Blackbird thread! Pics from auction...DHL says it will be here tomorrow! 2 Days from The Land of the Rising Sun! |

I've been thinking about buying a blue watch, so I decided to test drive the idea by changing my Transocean to a blue strap. |

I'm not commercial, just PPL Today Blackbird on new strap - Nomos horween. Not thick but soft and comfy Looks good I have an amazing 20mm Smooth Black Calfskin Watch Strap from Who Din Kee that I've been waiting to use. Yours looks great...although I imagine the strap makes it look "smaller" on the wrist? I am still wobbling on if I'll be able to wear 39.8mm for long though and think that the strap may make it look even smaller. This won't sound believable but over the last 19 years I have bought and sold 4 Omega Speedmaster am/pm Schumachers and 3 white Rolex Explorer 16570's because I love them in photos and love their look but they just seemed lacking on my wrist... Having said that when I put on a 43mm watch it feels like it is almost too big...I know what I like and 41-42mm feels perfect...I guess its like shoe size - I wouldn't wear a size 17 boot because it showed more of the snake skin LOL. I wear my size...I will say when I find a pair of shoes I like I've been known to buy 3 pair if I think they will not be available...maybe that's what I'm doing with my Navitimers! LOL |
