Well it's a fairly incredible story. I too thought that it must be a troll attempt. I've bought two new breitlings and have serviced 3 at brietling usa, never got a gift.

Just received an email from Breitling customer services and they have said it's an error on their part and would like me to return the fake for destruction.

So, off it goes in the post. Let's see why I get back.

If true, sounds like a disgruntled employee in the mail room planted the fake watch. Incredibly irresponsible for a respected Watch making company to do something like this knowingly, hence why I think this is someone with an ax to grind.

Unbelievable story, yet I want to believe it. Not sure if indignation is the right reaction here. I'd be rolling in laughter as I sent my response to the UK team.

If Breitling insists on destroying it, maybe hold it hostage for two hats and a ladies golf jacket.

Let's just assume Breitling did send you a fake Watch through the post, that I very much doubt, why would you go public about this so soon?? why not give Breitling the chance to put things right?? rather than just jumping in there naming and shaming them!

I would think carefully about deleting this thread if I was you OP
