An in response to the original poster .
If I was looking at a watch with the "GI-joe/action-man" numbers on the bezel , I'd probably go for a dial with the same style numerals .

"GI-Joe/Action-Man" really? Do you actually own any of these watches or are you just trolling here?

Anyways, mine is older model but I agree with Walter, the blue is best...

I have a black baton dial Avenger II GMT, and I LOVE it!!

If the Arabic GMT had white arabics, (like the old Seawolf 1) I may have gone for that, but I like uniform, clear, legible dials and the metal arabics can seem to 'disappear' in certain lights.

The fully lumed batons are visible in any lighting and the fantastic lume lasts all night from my experience

As for black over blue, I would be happy to have the blue but went for black because I already had the black Ocean Racer rubbers on deployant and a black calf leather strap for it.

This Avenger model looks fantastic on all of these combinations, - is ultra comfortable and mine is a definite keeper.

Sorry, no pics to go with my post.

Nick

Thanks for replying. The clicks are ok I suppose, I mean they are quite pronounced.

In that case , I'd go to an authorized service dealer or a highly recommended watchsmith and ask for advice .
They can check the rotary bezel spring and by experience tell you if it's ok or not , without going into a fully invasive service .
Like medical surgery if you have found a guy whose opinion you trust , trust his opinion .
Until you get to that stage , get a second opinion .
A third opinion is a waste of money :D

In my experience of abusing watches , and limited experience of understanding them , I'd say it's ok for another 50 years !!
