I understand what you are saying. The Minute hand on the Stopwatch return to the same position (22min) every time. I guess it's a case of removing it and placing it back in the "0" position but I agree about the testing. Let's see what happens today.

I agree with Roff on this one. As an AD myself, I would send it back to Breitling accompannied with a letter written by myself to complain about this and trying to get the watch back asap and ask Breitling for a gift or so for the client for this inconvenience. Would not let my watchmaker touch it eventough he's licensed to work on Breitlings.

Have to agree with Roff also.

Although we all like a quick fix, especially for something you've waited a while for, the AD should really get to the root of the problem.
If it's happened once,it could happen again until the movement is properly looked at.

By the way, after the fix, was the sub dial hand deformed at all? I thought the hands were one use only....

Problem with that logic - the hand was at 0 when you received it,not 22.

As 1952 points out, hands are also single use, friction fit so unless your AD happens to have a spare laying around, which is unlikely, they will reuse the one that is there which then won't fit as tightly. Given that the only possible way that the hand could have moved from 0 reset to 22 reset is if it slipped (i.e. was already too loose on the arbor), that's the last thing that it needs.

Good point. I must admit. I am not sure if the hand was on "0" or "22" when I took delivery. Lucky for me I have a Breitling Lab about 20km from me. I took it in this morning and they are looking at it as we speak.

All done. The technician at the lab said they had to re-align the stopwatch minute hand. The way I understand it, it was done by re-aligning a gear or wheel on the inside. Everything is working and aligned perfectly now. Happy Breitling owner again. I can't stop looking at the detail. It's perfection !!!

.

It has happened again. This time the minute arm resets to 29min. This makes me really mad !! I don't trust this watch anymore. I don't think repairing it again will restore my trust. I'm going to tell my AD to replace. Not even sure if another Chronospace is the way to go.

Well if it had been repaired properly in the first place. I'm sorry, but I tried to warn you.

Hi Rolf. I insisted my AD replacing my watch with a new one today. I don't trust another repair. They agreed. They ordered another new one from Breitling Switzerland today. The new watch should be here in a couple of weeks. I must say I am disappointed. The reason I decided to spend a large amount of money on a watch like this is because I believed in the Marketing hype of reliability, accuracy and precision. An experience like this just reminds me that at least 80% of this is bullshit. This is my 3rd Breitling. So far 3 out of 3 had problems. I bought a used Crosswind. After 2 months it stopped after about 8 hours on my wrist. Had to get it overhauled. I bought a Chronospace Ana-Digi. The analogue dials got stuck at 15h30. Had to get it repaired by Breitling. Bought a brand new Chronospace Automatic. Brand new faulty watch received. The oldest of these 3 is only 10 years old. The others are practically new. I've had many many watches in my life. Most of them cheap. I've never had such bad quality !! For this I paid 10 times the price. Not so sure anymore.
