True. It looks quite nice, but I've been well and truly DLC'd out for some time.

Just when you thought that Hank the Cod had been taken out back and harpooned

For the sake of all that is holy, please, please let there be an upcoming global shortage of DLC.

IMO, DLC has no place whatsoever on a Navitimer.

DLC is a tactical finish for rugged military-like watches, not finely constructed and definitely not rugged, historic pieces like the Navitimer. To see DLC on B19 equipped Navi (with the B19 being the finest non-in-house movement that Breitling have IMO) is a travesty.

They sell so well though, apparently!! So why not?

Breitling seem to know what they're doing. Fecking eejits. It looks ridiculous! No other way to describe it.

I quite like the look of the Cockpit. The price sets it in a different market than the aerospace buyer. Not sure who would pay that much for a quartz without a PLB though?!

As for the size, assuming that the strap is the same width as E2, the bezel appears to be exactly the same. Count the bezel scallops in between the strap lug. The digital display is wider in the b50 than the b79. I think the case will be a minimum 48 mm, like the last Chronospace

Whether you like it or not, it's a vast improvement over the Airwolf Raven and the other silly color bezels we've seen in the past
