I did a review of the BOB Straps for Panerai on the Paneraisource website, you can see it here:

http://www.paneraisource.com/aftermarke ... _bob.shtml

Not sure if the straps are the same or not though.

As an owner of a BOB strap, I can tell you that they are worth the money. I can say that confidently because they are only $29. They are a great buy for a person who probally isnt going to wear a leather strap that often or want to "try on a strap" for a couple of days to see how it works for you.

Now BOB vs. Breitling staps.... NO COMPARISON. the Breitling strap ( I do own a black croco, BTW) is twice as thick as the BOB.

I recommend the BOB if you are just needing a quick and cheap "see if I like wearing it on a strap". If you are serious about wearing a leather strap in rotation or everyday, Breitling makes a great one.

On a funny note, my $29 BOB strap was connected to a $150 Breitling deployment clasp! :D

I'm a strap snob too - although the only reason that I haven't placed an order with ABP yet is because I may be looking for a couple more straps soon.

I do generally prefer Breitling, but the ABPs are just so unique and so capable of tailoring that I can personally consider them as comparable to Breitling.

Oh yeah I agree about the likes of ABP. They use very unique skins and they are all custom made, and I agree on certain watches they can look amazing (the Blacksteel for example), but on a Bentley...... well, it's gotta OEM croco all the way for me.

Nah, an ABP brownish python strap also works. ;)
