Not 24 hours have passed Not 24 hours have passed since I first posted my request for help. I am sincerely grateful for your outpouring of support, advice, compassion and encouragement. THANK YOU!!!

Upon reading some of your postings I sent an email to Breitling and asked for help. Today a very pleasant and helpful lady phoned me to tell me that they definitely would have just replaced the Rider Tab and not done the other work. Unfortunately their records do not indicate that anybody from Torneau ever contacted Breitling to present my request to them. She encouraged me to send my watch in to Breitling directly to her attention and she indicated that she would get the matter attended to properly.

Upon learning that the ball was probably dropped by the folks at Torneau I called in and let the manager know about my experience. He has instructed his staff to order the part from Breitling and have it shipped here. In summary it appears that everything will work out fine.

Again I am extremely grateful to all of you who shared. I have a number of hobbies and interests and have never encountered such a high quality group of people in a forum previously. My appreciation is heartfelt.

Glad it's working out for you Brent!

And painful though it may have been to get there, another example of Breitling standing up for their buyers.

Good work, well done! Well, I guess it's another badwill experience from Tourneau - seems like they're not the top 1 in the US.
