I dont like mine too tight. I get a claustrophobic feeling (im actually kind of getting that feeling right now, just thinking about it).. I dont like it too loose though..somewhere in between. I can easily fir my index finger in, and usually another finger as well.

I have always worn my watches tight...

And I will only wear rubber or leather straps in the aircraft with the ejection seat. Knew a guy a long time ago who was wearing a bracelet on a nice watch, and he was out of position during an ejection. His watch snagged on the canopy bow as the seat went though the canopy and (this is pretty gross) he lost the bottom 1/3 of his arm. Flight Surgeon told him if he had a strap (rubber or leather), it would have broken and not sliced/broken his arm. He was out of the Navy about 6 months later with full disability.

 Nasty story.

It's actually similar to a story I heard from a mate of mine in the British Navy. This guy he knew caught his wedding ring on the frame of a hatch as he slid down some stairs on his ship and the ring basically ripped all the flesh off his ring-finger. Mmmmmmm, lovely.

Yep, and you have the story 2-3 year back when a football player saluted his goal by jumping towards the grid fence towards the fans. His wedding ring stuck and when he went down (gravity never fails) the finger was still high on the fence. Ouch.

That's happened at my command before as well. Especially during emergencies etc people fly down stairs that have chain hand rails... one good little yank and you've got nothing but bone

I always wore my ring around my dog tags 8)
