Just think of the cossie dial being the same as a navi in this regard. No difference in readability of the dial.
If you are having trouble with reading 24 hour time just think of it like this. To read the minutes ignore the numbers & just use the battens. For the minutes the cossie is exactly the same in batten layout as for a 12 hour watch. I find that the easy part when I ignore the numbers as they confuse me.
For the hours either express the time in 24 hour time (which is socially unconventional) or take off 12 to express conventional time. That's the bit that gets me to do a double take. Just about half the time.
