Actually that design yellow dial was last produced in 2005 I believe.

Didn't they go to 1500M earlier than that? I thought only the first year or so after being renamed was 1524M.

Same movement, Seawolf has more water resistance, that watch is 10 - 15 years old and Steel Seawolf would be a lot newer (SOP is Steel), SOP is smaller 41 vs 45 and 15 vs 18 height, only 20mm lugs on the SOP.

Thank you. That's the info I need to know. The seller claims it's a 2010. No chance of that, huh?[/quote]

OK. It doesn't bother me, I just want to be informed when I look at it. He got it on trade so he's not the first owner. What would the value be in good condition with no box or background info?

Agreed, too pricey. For 2060 dollars I got a yellow dial steel Seawolf on diver pro I rubber strap, back in Dec 2012, 6 months old, with box and papers from a jeweller in Beverly Hills (18 months warranty left). Had to part with it, wasn't my colour in the end. Sold it on chrono24 to a Dutch guy. I then saw it advertised one month later on chrono24 by a German shop! (same serial number, certificate and AD stamp). Funny to see it flipping so quickly.

I went and looked at the watch today. The guy turned out to be a good fellow. I had no idea these Superoceans were so tiny. Looked like it would be at home on a young girls wrist. Glad I was able to see it in person. I'm holding out for an Avenger Seawolf with the yellow dial.

I really appreciate all the comments and direction I received here. A good group of people for sure.

42mm apparently equals tiny these days.

The link doesn't work - I think the seller has removed it.

To be honest when I saw the reference to craigslist I shuddered; it apppears to be full of scammers/criminals offering high value items at very low prices, ready to trap the unwary.

I was attracted to it for some Leica gear about a year ago before I realised it was too good to be true; here is an example of a lens that would normally retail at around £6,000+, being offered for £2,000:

http://london.craigslist.co.uk/phd/3956522920.html

Of course it may be geniune (yeah right), almost certainly if I was to contact the seller he will answer with poor English, etc etc all the hallmarks of a typical scammer you get so often these days.

Stick to proper Breitling dealers or known geniune second hand jewelers for your Breitlings!
