This evening my 11 year old came up to me with her Macbook laptop to give me a hug goodnight and my Navi brushed against the laptop's alloy case. What followed in the next few miliseconds could only be described as something similar to the beginings of a nuclear chain reaction.
My daughter is well aware of her old man's obsession with watches hence she immediately reacted with a shocked "Sorry Daddy!".
The only thing I could respond with was a smile and "No problem darling. Is your computer OK? Good night and sweet dreams, it's just a watch."
Now, where did I put my magnifying glass???

Haha this is the best thing I have heard for a bit. cheered me up :D :D :lingsrock:

Holy crap, why don't you all just put them under glass and never wear them so they stay perfect. They are not jewelry, they are not showpieces, they are watches. Tools. Get over it. I know every ding, scratch, and mark on all my watches, and when and why they got there. They give the watch character and are what make them yours!

A glass box around my watch on my wrist. Now, that's an idea! :-)

I'm not as OCD as you. 8) Just wore my chronospace blacksteel to wash my ferrari and didn't even worry about the 50m rating. :lingsrock:

Lol. I don't care if my jewelry or showpieces get dinged or dented, but if it's my watch...hmmm. :)

Beautiful Headwind!

Mate of mine shaved his wrist so the hairs would not scratch the back of his watch. He is CDO. (OCD but in the correct order!)

I think you should assure your friend that hair, any hair, will not scratch his watch.
Your not a very good friend if you don't... :poke:

Well on a straw poll, I think we can say, at this point in time, that its unanimous. All Breitling owners suffer from COD. Or OCD if you are dyslexic like me. Oh DOG, what am I saying.

Did I wipe down the Monty 1461 before I put it on the winder?

My first decent watch was a Tag Heuer F1 chronograph in blue that I bought twenty years ago (as a twenty year old in fact). On a work night out a colleague asked to try it and managed to drop it onto the wooden pub table as he was handing it back; the watch was fine but a lesson was learnt.

The Seawolfs stay on the wrist, even if Eva Mendes is asking!

hahaha...this is too funny! I though I was retarded for wrapping it up in micro fiber when not on my wrist. I now realize I have no mental problems at all, heck all I've been missing is that custom glass enclosure.

OK, so how much? I assume you offer next day shipping?

What I find really frustrating is that my Avenger has picked up more tiny marks on the case and desk-diving marks on the bracelet in the 6 months than my Heuer 1000M dive watch has in the full 20 years that it was my daily timepiece [1], and the Heuer stayed on my wrist pretty much 24x7 unless I was waving my spanners at the car or motorbike, whereas the ling comes off at the slightest hint of danger.

Hell, it even tends to sit on my desk during the day rather than on my wrist to stop it knocking against the desk.

[1] The day I managed to knock off the bezel and bend the bracelet in a diving accident doesn't count.
