That's certainly better than feared - more design confusion!

I like it.. It's still huge and the minor changes give it a more robust look without being over the top. Plus no more desk swirlies!! :) sign me up!!

It's hard for me to be too enthusiastic about it given the 99% similarity to the old model, so in this case I'm a little indifferent to it. But I'd rather that than a hideous rubber-coated, Buckified, DLC'd reworking. So for that alone, I'd give this one a solid 7 out of 10.

I really do like the new rider tabs though! More distinctly rider-tab-like than those on the Chronomat 01, but a little more streamlined than the old "jumper-gaggers" of old. They're a good design move IMO.

Agree with much of that; I like the tabs, and also prefer brushed. Not bad at all.

Good on you Breitling!!

You did a light refresh while keeping the integrity of the original........ job well done!

Also, no issue with what they did with the tabs as to the average person, it looks the same or similar to the original...... for the record, I wish they used those on the B1 Chronomat as well.

All the best,

Steve

Hmmm...........Opinions seem divided but for me it's the most appealing of the current line up. I like the subtle evolution and think the brushed finish makes it look less 'blingy' and more of a tool watch which for me is surely what any Avenger should be about. I really like that bezel and the rider tabs. Also, it looks good on that rubber strap which works well with the brushed finish. It's the first 'new' model I have liked for a long time. As for the GMT, it's the first none-chrono that I have seen that I would really consider. If only they'd gone the same way with the SO and CSO.

I like it too. Nothing hugely different in the design but I prefer the older stuff anyway. Appears to be a solid tool watch.

I think I like what they did with the Avenger II range. As said, a slight evolution rather than a revolution which we always wished for and compared to what Rolex does.
I also like the new style riders and the bezel font is much more pleasing to the eye.
That is what they should probably have done with the Chronomat 01 in the first place.

That looks like a Photoshop job to me (on my tiny iPhone screen anyway). Can't imagine a new SA would be so conservatively similar to the old one.

Very odd if it is real, as at a quick glance you'd be hard pressed to see any difference between this and the existing model. Looks more like a face-lift rather than a new version.... not that that's a bad thing at all of course.

Here's another image of the SA IIImage

and an Avenger II GMT for you

I like them. I like the updated military styenciled arabics, and the bezels look great. May have to pick up the GMT. :D

All things considered, I can't find a reason to criticize either piece. I would have thought the Seawolf GMT (if that's what it is???) would be getting some ooos and aaaahs.

I like these better than the old Avengers. Specifically the brushed/satin finish, single baton style with lume over polished double batons, red chrono seconds hand on SA is nice change, bezel is fine. GMT is done well.

Still a little too large for me though I'm afraid.

If I see a numbered version in yellow or gray there will be plenty of ooos and aaaahs from me....probably much to my wife's dislike. I very much like the 24 hour bezel on the GMT.

Agree.

It's certainly shaping up to be a better Basel than expected with these evolutionary pieces, although still with some definite clunkers and a few 'what the heck were they thinking' pieces.

Really well said Terry on all counts.

Could never pull off the SA but possibly the seawolf.
