Support your local AD - that way you get to see the watch before you buy it and if the lettering is out - you don't buy

Of course, but the thing is, if they don't have it in, I'd have to order it and pay something in advance, and if it isn't flawless then they'd have to order another one and so on.... Maybe I'm paranoid, but the fact that Breitling told Lou that the second dial was also faulty is a bit alarming....

You shouldn't have to pay a deposit for them to get one in to the store. The only time that they should ask for a deposit is either to secure a piece or on a custom order - if you ask them to get in a standard combo they should be more than willing to help.

Of course time is an issue, not much you can do about that.

Hopefully you're right, I do live in a small country where there aren't a lot of ADs, but I guess I'll be able to talk to them so they understand that I won't buy the watch if I find something wrong with it.

On the other hand, I am now a bit nervous about buying the SOH, it is lovely, but now all I can think of is what is mine has the same fault.... :(

Here's a bit of encouragement for you.

That is an excellent looking watch. The only color I had seen so far was the bronze (ish) color with the kind of funky metal band. It definitely looks much better in black and with that band.

Mine was off significantly, sent it back to have the dial replaced and that one was off as well, not as much as the original but still noticeable.
