Do some models not have he glow? I bought a Montbrillant 47 and it doesn't seem to glow at all.

It does have lume. You need to allow your eyes to adjust to the dark to be able to really appreciate it.

They can. But they won't - replacement. We are a disposable economy. It's cheaper to replace than repair.

It also results in a better end product. Just look at vintage dials that have been relumed, no matter how well it is done it's never quite as crisp as the original - a relumed dial wouldn't look as good as a new dial.

If Brietling performed the re-lume it should be as good as original.,

But, they will not, nor will Rolex, Omega, etc.

No disrespect Roff. Just my opinion. It's sad. I remember when we repaired items instead of replacing.

And Ferraris should do 500 miles to the gallon and cost $1.50, but they don't. It is simply not possible to relume a dial as well as the original. And I have seen a few Breitling vintage dial relumes - let's just say they are a long way from the best.
