So I have had the watch about 2 months now. Just started laying it on the side both crown and back. Does the +6/-3 COSC spec mean that it will gain 6 seconds a day so after two days thats 12 and so on? I guess I never understood how the spec works.

It's -4 to +6 and yes, it means that the watch may lose up to 4 seconds per day or gain up to 6 seconds per day.

So mine going from being right on the dot to about +5 and then climbing to about +20 and staying there seems like its off? I think ill just set it with 20 seconds behind and then after a few days it will be right on time then lol. Whatever its all good

If it's gaining +5 seconds consistently for four consecutive days then that's fine, you need to figure out what changed to stop it gaining after those 4 days - it's a mechanical machine so there must have been a change in environment, temperature, wear habits, etc, etc, etc, etc.

This is all news to me! I honestly never put thought into this. Also I JUST noticed that my chrono does not reset correctly anymore!!!!!! The min are flush at 30 but the hours are half a min behind the 12! That actually pisses me off but I am not sending it in for that. After learning all this about mechanical watches, I honestly think they are all sht! My Quartz g shock aviation is perfect!@
