There are just some flicks that you have to see...i recall watching the Blues Brothers with my then 15 or 16 year old daughter. Her comment was "now I know what those lines you use sometimes are about!"

I think it was the summer of '78 and I was with my girl of the year at Chicago Fest on Navy Pier. One large main stage and several smaller speciality stages - rock, jazz, blues, etc... We were leaving the Blues stage at the end of the Pier walking toward the shore where the main stage was and Atlanta Rhythm Section was playing and we were too tired or wasted to stick around. As we reached the area of the main stage it suddenly went dark and silent. We stood and watched for a moment when suddenly the lights came on and I heard a brass section playing "da da da da, dadadada, da da da da.". It was the Blues Brothers, they were filming the flick then, and they played a full hour. Pretty cool timing and memory.

Oh come on, not really. It's an 80s movie sure, but anyone who got through their teenage years without Spinal Tap, Rocky Horror Picture Show, etc hasn't lived!

Or is too young?

Well yes, the thought occurred.[/quote]

Being from the land where modern 'lings are designed, I have no understanding whatsoever for the concept of taste...
