The troubles are that so many things are faked. Watches, jewelry,
clothes, bags, etc. Even carts/toners for computer printers. Substandard,
ersatz parts undermine industries, but there are no permanent solutions.
Education, caution, cynicism(to rational points), logical reasonings are
ways of fighting fakes. Doesn't Gucci &/or Cartier still have the yearly
steamrollings to eradicate many counterfeit products? Not a permanent
remedy, but the message is proudly sent that the fights will never stop.

Thank's all, I'm not worried about mine being fake, have papers and serial numbers match, verified by dealer.. and yes, I have seen many not so good copies, it only takes a few dishonest people to ruin it for the real timepiece lovers. I liked Sharkmouth's site to educate buyers. Guess I'll hang around awhile, Peace to all.
PS Yes, badticker refer's to heart, not counterfit watch, TOO funny  :strummin:

It's funny that people jump directly to the OP being a counterfeiter. The "policing" seems a bit over the top since this information is found quite easily from a simple google search. Some comradery we have here, huh?

To be fair, it was just me making the accusation and I'm a terrible cynic.

I totally "get" your point and I tend to be a bit cynical at times too. I suppose my statement needed some context. I've seen "people" jump to conclusions on these, and other, forums about counterfeiting and it seems like any other forum; if you're not an established member, there is a lot of scrutiny. With that said, no harm, no foul. I was just stating that perhaps we should give the OP a chance. Perhaps OP has been a lurker for a while (just like I was a few months back) and had a question that he couldn't easily find an answer to (perhaps not looking in the correct places, whatever) so he joined up and asked.

I'm all about the anti-counterfeit-ism but we need to welcome people and not jump down their throats a bit. By "we" I mean the internet as a whole. I see, far too often in fact, new members of forums being pushed away by the established and knowledgeable ones for not so great reasons.

Oh well. Welcome, OP, from a fellow newbie.
