Here is why I prefer the black over the others - the colored rehaut eats up the dial and makes the watch look smaller. It is a nice dial IMO, and the black rehaut accentuates it, while the colored rehaut draws the attention away from the dial. Anyway, that is my theory having owned a colored and a black one and I'm sticking to it. Of course, this is entirely my personal opinion as well. ;)

I put a deposit down today on a Black one. Well actually, I traded in my Colt Auto II in silver, for $400 credit. Ah well.

Damn...I would have given you much more than that!

You do realize those things go for around 1500-2000$ used since breitling became "EXXTREME" right?

On the dial Tom, I agree with you. Black it is.

I need some input...

Oh yeah, I know the price on trade-in sucks. But I don't have any papers as my ex threw them out when we split up. I have the box, the hang tag, the bezel protector and the pro 2 extra link. So then there is the current condition. While it has no damage whatsoever, it's also not mint, it has normal signs of wear and tear as it was a daily. It needs a good polish to look new again. So selling it is possible, but I need to have it polished to look the part. And then I have to replace papers. Then I have to get into risking paypal. I guess I could still sell it with no papers. I also don't have more than a tiny crap little camera to take pics with.

As they say one in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. If someone is offering $1000 for it sure I will go get it back, the deal is on hold till the end of today, I need to think about it more as the wife is not happy at all about my decision. We agreed on a price and I spent $800 more if I do this deal.

How it actually worked is like this. I can't have the discount I normally do and a trade in on the same piece. So with no trade in, taxes in with my discount I was offered an out the door price that was just under $3100. If I do the trade-in I lose the discount, but I get out the door about $2800. So realistically I am getting no more than $400 for the Colt.

Have to factor in sales tax here is 12%. Also, it's a 6-8 week wait.

What I am worried about, is risking selling it and losing the watch.

So what do you guys think? I have to decide by today.

A.) Leave the deal as is, take the crap trade in valuation and hurt the wifey by not sticking to the price we agreed on? (I already bought her flowers, she knows I screwed up).

B.) Take the trade-in back, risk selling it, and try for say $1000 net, then keep to the $2000 I promised my wife and possibly lose the Colt and end up without a Colt or the Superocean?

I guess what I need is a trusted buyer lol.

Lol, my yellow is my beater so much so that I haven't done a recent picture to avoid offending people, my red is for going out as apposed to everyday, it's still pristine.

Thinking of getting a blue but not sure were it would fall in the rotation of B's and other makes.

Good thing you didn't. Too small, and the watches in your sig agree, methinks.

It's really nice to have something small to throw on from time to time when the need arises. To me, at least.
