I think what he means is $1600 is unusually low. Current price of gold per ounce is roughly USD $1668. I don't know how much the bracelet weighs, but if it's even an ounce, then the gold value alone is more than the price quoted, to say nothing of the diamonds or the fact it's a branded bracelet.

The prices were my inexperienced attempt to figure out an original purchase price for the watch minus all the diamond additions. I used the Breitling online price list and the year 2000 as an indicator. I didn't know the name of the braclet so I guessed, and obviously guessed wrong :oops:. I agree, watch & braclet would be much more today given the price of gold. God only knows what a proper appraisal would come out at :?: :?:
