But to call this watch "the best version of the already superb Blackbird" is something I could never come close to accepting. It isn't just the red date window - the red sub surrounds..... :nono:

Heck I own the BSBB, but even I would not honestly suggest it beats the real BB.

To each his own. But for me, i just don't see it.

AD's have to say these things, it's in their training manual. :huh

Ouch Sergio, that hurts

My reviews are always balanced non-biased.

Seriously though, it is difficult to create an impartial review when you like the subject so much.

Just thought I would share that

Arthur

Wow, that's very cool Arthur, to have your own personalised review.

I'm glad you're loving the Blackbird Red Strike.

Just think: When I become famous watch reviewer your watch will be worth a fortune.

Appreciate the great review, however I am another in the camp, that doesn't think the 'Red Strike' is a one of the best versions of the Blackbird.
I do however think that you really need to see a watch in person before you can decide properly. I have seen pictures of watches I really like, only to be disappointed 'in the flesh' and vice versa.
In fact I saw pictures of the Speedmaster 'Meteorite' thought it looked great and around the same time I had seen pictures of the Blackbird Blacksteel and it didn't really do much for me. Shortly after I went to an AD with a view to buying the Speedy 'Meteorite' and they happened to have the Blackbird Blacksteel in as well. For me there was no comparison, the 'Meteorite' looked second rate next to the Blackbird Blacksteel which I thought looked fantastic, even my wife said straight away 'there is no comparison between the two'. In the flesh I think the Blacksteel version looks awesome and is my favourite Blackbird and subsequently I bought one and really enjoy wearing it.
