my very first breitling was a B4B motors t speed. i purchased it on February 2011 from Time and Gold in Vancouver. i moved it later that year because i realized that it was too big for me to pull off.

My first was a Colt Auto early 90's those days in my industry a tag was the watch. So, I looked long and hard and bought a Breitling (always been a bit of a contrarian).
30 great Breitlings later.

Dave, I though that pic was staying quiet?

While watching the movie Blood Diamond, I couldn't take my eyes of the black dial CA Dicaprio was wearing (except when Jennifer was in the scene). It got me looking at Breitling and to my first "nice watch" - an Avenger Skyland.

For me it was the Montbrillant Legende below. Spotted at Costco (of all places), and it was love at first sight. Took over a year to find one preloved at an affordable price - finally happened last October.

Problem is, it set me on a Breitling frenzy that hasn't abated until yesterday when a Chrono Avenger was acquired (preceded by a Blackbird in Dec). I think I'm fine for a while now, but there are at least 2 more on my list that will have to wait.

It was a Navitimer LE "Snowbird" - bought in 1998 with strap (couldn't afford bracelet) - bought the bracelet a month later!

(Got both the watch & bracelet 30% off)

Traded it for a 1461/52 in 2010 - nearly got all my money back.

Incidentally, sold the 1461/52 late last year and actually made a couple hundred for the first time ever in my wheeling & dealing lol.

Cheers,

Enezdez

I wanted a Navitimer since I first noticed them, about 2002 when it was time to get my first "nice" watch. Got a Rolex GMT instead, came close a couple of times but it didn't happen. I eased into it two years ago with an old Chronospace, then found a Navi Heritage and a Headwind. The first two are gone, Chronospace to fund something larger and Navi to cash out for a while, but right now I'm deciding whether I'm going to get the OP's watch model, a Fighters, from my watch guy.

1961 Navitimer 806 was a gift from my father when I was 18 (19 years ago). He bought it new from COPA (Canadian Owners and Pilots Association) when he was in the RCAF in 1963...for $99!

Oct 2010, Silver dial Steelfish from an AD. Still in love. I added a SO Abyss this past fall. An impulse buy I'm still happy with!

Last month for me. 1997 Aerospace with Air Force blue dial and titanium bracelet. Rather than buy new I went for this and am looking to find a nice 1970ish Datora too. Two for the price of one in my eyes. Love the aerospace as I work in aviation, plus it's not a showy time piece.

My first Breitling....TODAY!

2/6/12

Colt Automatic and I'm in love. I've been doing my research for about a month now and finally decided on the Colt.

Sorry but a terrible Iphone picture will have to do until I get home this evening.
