Like some have said, I find them very comfy once they have broken in. I treat them with the strap conditioner from Breitling, but saddle soap would probably work. The length is the key for me. Standard length straps are too small for me so I feel the deployant clasp against my wrist. Once I put a XL strap in that extends past the clasp, all is well. Personally, I like the fact that I can always adjust it to be just exactly perfect in lenght. :D
