i don't know about your salespersons at the ad, but i ALWAYS mention the ease of interchangeability and ton of options on straps and bracelets as a key point in selling breitlings, its one of the best things about breitlings. but the people know they can get it on any set up they could want.

I know this is probably like swearing or blaspheming on BS but here goes :D .

I think that it's quite good that it is possible to buy just the head. If funds were tight and you couldn't afford to pay the full price with the strap of your choice, then you could buy the head - fit an after market strap for the time being and then fit the 'correct' or required strap at a later date. I think this is more relevant than ever, what with the financial climate, the price of new Breitlings heading skyward and the cessation of some models.

Now, if I am to be struck with thunderbolts and sentenced to eternal damnation - so be it :) .

But still :lingsrock: .

Absolutely Roff, though in this instance I was meaning as a cheaper alternative to a Breitling strap :) .

Surprised how many people find it annoying. I actually really like that approach because it makes it much easier to assess price on different strap / bracelet combinations.

I agree...when I bought my Old Navitimer with gold and silver accents, I didn't like the 2 tone band and they replaced it with an all stainless one (for the corresponding lesser charge)...

I think because it's easier to justify spending $X for a watch, without knowing that for the bracelet you are spending $1500 or whatever the cost is.
