My SA Blacksteel has a scratch on the strap buckle that shows silver :(

But the case is still perfect :)

That's not good. I'm a bit reckless sometimes, so purchasing a blacksteel watch may be not the best idea I've ever had.

DLC is very tough - about the toughest surface coating out there for watches - but at the end of the day it is just that : a surface coating. And any microscopically thin coating can be damaged, resulting in the shiny metal showing through, and no chance of re-finishing it yourself. That's the reason I'd personally never buy a fully DLC'd watch.

Mine as well. I can polish out scractches on polished steel or refinish the brushed surface on most watches myself. And a local shop can do whatever I can't (within reason obviously) for a small amount of change.

Still I came very close the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth time I saw the Blackbird polished Blacksteel.

Thank you for being so helpful guys. I really want this watch, but the material frightens me.
