Watch with an awesome movement? Or gorgeous looks? I'm stil not sure about what to choose.
For me, looks come first. If I don't like the way a watch looks, I'm not going to wear it, pure and simple. That said, I can't think of any quartz watches the looks of which I prefer to my favorite autos/mechanicals. Also, although it might not seem like much, the sweep of an automatic second hand (particularly in a three-hand model) contributes to the watch's look, and makes it look much more "alive" than the cold ticking of a quartz second hand. This effect is less pronounced in a chronograph, however.
And this is just a hunch, but I have a feeling if you stick with this pursuit long enough, you'll find plenty of automatics you like just as well as, if not better than, the Avenger Blacksteel. Not to sound condescending, but I get the feeling you're somewhat new to higher-end watches. If that's the case, you will be amazed how your tastes will evolve, and fairly rapidly at the outset. If you really think in the end you might regret going with a quartz, I recommend you hold back, give yourself some time and see if anything else ends up striking your fancy.
That notwithstanding, I do think Breitling's Superquartz movements are "special" in their own right. COSC-certified quartz movements are themselves pretty unusual, since very few companies bother to have quartz movements certified. Yes, they are cold, technical, electronic things, but they're still pretty kick-ass.
