I'm not a fan of the breitling ladies models. Have you checked out Rolex, glashutte original, or others?

My wife has some rolexes, a GO and a ladies AP on order.

I am definitely going with the majority view - #1. It gives you more distinct options with the Navi - larger vs smaller, one on strap vs one on bracelet, one a chrono vs one a 3 hand.

Further, chronos get crowded and can be too confused looking on smaller case sizes. That's a problem with a Chrono Galactic, especially with romans.

The first one has simplicity combined with striking elegence. #2 with diamonds and roman numerals and sub dials has too much going on all at once. So # 1, even tho simpler looking, is likely to be the one people will stop you and say, "Wow, that's gorgeous."

A mistake I made was getting esentially all chronos - everything had to be a chrono. There is something very stunning about the simple uncluttered look of a watch without subdials. It took me a while and a lot of money to figure that out. FWIW.

It wasn't all that long ago when 36mm was considered a normal to large size for a man's watch and many woman's watches where 28mms. I had a 28mm ss/gold Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra set aside for my daughter, but went with a 36mm Chopard w/diamonds. It was the right choice. And the 36mm case size with it's white dial - as in #1 - looks pretty large on the wrist. Dial color matters in size appearance.

Also when it comes to straps don't rely on the website - Breitling will make 18mm croco straps. Plus the lizard straps are equally appealing, the brown the same hue, and traditionally more atuned to a lady's wrist.

For some reason, neither one strikes me for you. But then again, my tastes are not mainstream.

Imho, the watch first and foremost MUST be able to bring a smile to YOUR face when you look at it on your wrist. If none in the ladies line really strikes you, then look at more men's Breitkings. Forget about what's appropriate. Heck, you sell guns!! Luxury watches are fashion statements. It's all about the ATTITUDE! Go with a model that sings to you and suits your personality & lifestyle.

Every lady of sufficient means ought to have watches for different occasions just as men do. I have watches I won't wear in certain settings and some that fit all settings. Someone who sells guns and goes to the range during the day will also have more formal occasions. In women's watches that typically involves DIAMONDS! Why not have the watch you wear with your most formal attaire and the other one you wear all day?

Variety. And this comes from a guy whose first 3 watches were all three CSOs followed by all 3 Steelfish. But I learned.

Yes Sharkie. But I'm leaning more towards Lady Gaga at the Grammy's formal occasions vs Kate Middleton's wedding, ya know? (Hey, don't blame the taste of the guy with the 60mm watch...)

Btw, didn't you also have had 3 Skyracers?

Don't be ridiculous! That would be insane. I had two Skyracers and a Skyracer Raven! And two Bentley GTs. Two SOHCs. I would go on but it's too painful.

I think maybe there is middle ground between Lady Gaga and the Dutchess of York. Just the simple black tie or special occasion evening wear affair.

That GO is quite reasonably priced at $12K. what about the AP? Both killer pieces.

Retail on the AP is $13.8k.

The GO is an auto, the AP is a manual.

Sadly it's taken about 4 months to get the GO, which is why I ordered the AP now so it will arrive before her birthday in December.

Stupid question - and feel free to delete it after, but is dhalem and mfserge the same person? Curious why mfserge's watches are in dhalem's signature.

No. Those are Dhalem's watches, not mfserge's.
