Deployant is the best strap you can get, provided your arm is made for it. It also prevents the watch from spinning around the wrist and last much longer than tang.

In spite of the lack of safety release, I've never, not once, had my strap open accidentally. In fact, I find it more hard to open a deployant strap than a bracelet.

Think I will go ahead and buy this.
Anyone know how much they are listed as in GBP?

Also, with the deployment clasp not having a safety release, does anyone find they sometimes accidentally open/unlock the clasp?

Spurs ehh...

First off it's deployant rather than deployment, easy mistake that I think we all have made.

Yep... the mighty Spurs :lingsrock:

Funny you mention the typo, as a lot have done it ever since you mention it :D

I never had any issues with the strap slipping or the deployant accidentally opening. As a matter of fact there's a way to adjust the tension of the deployant-- something I learned courtesy of this forum. As people said above, it's easy to get just the perfect length. It's also supper easy to take the watch on and off. That was the main reason I bought one.

Once I got it though, I was disappointed with the way the bottom of the strap loops away from the wrist. It looks bad and gets cought on a sleeve cuff easily. One side of the strap is wider than the other near the deployant which annoys me. Worst of all, and it seems like it only happens to me, the inside portion of the deployant digs into my wrist to the point that it causes my wrist to go numb after a few days.

I think the tang is much more comfortable and looks better. On the the deployant/ strap combo all you see is a small portion of the deployant . The rest is hidden.
The tang is much nicer looking from the outside. Plus, the keepers and overlapping strap give it some classic detail.

I attached a photo of the strap not laying flush to the wrist-- very annoying.

I can see what you mean from the pic about it being annoying. Could you not tighten it up at all to help it sit more flush on the wrist?

What size are your wrists?

Mine are titchy at 6.75 inches, and I'm worried I may suffer from the same problem.

Starting to have second thoughts now, maybe I need to go and try it on before I order one.

If anyone has any pics of a deployment strap on their wrist, would be nice if you could post them up.
Just helps me get an idea of how it sits.

Unfortunately my local ADs don't seem to have the deployment clasps, only the tang buckle version in store.

I find the deploy too large for my 6&1/2" wrist.

My wrist is 7 - 7.25". That picture was a comfortable setting. It was snug. I made it tighter to get rid of the gap but it really dug into my wrist too much.

It seems to be a bad design. It would be more comfortable if the strap could be looped from the inside out and kept tidy with a keeper.
