I'd agree with most of that but Concord is certainly in the wrong spot.

Not to sure about your placement of Graham or Concord for that matter.

This list confuses me.
Are they going for a "what you get for the money" standpoint, a "brand recognition" standpoint or a design standpoint?

If number one, rolex should be in tier 952

If number two, rolex should be tier 1, the rest heaped together at tier 10. If you say "glashutte" to someone you just met, odds are they'll reply with "bless you"

If number three... well, have you ever seen a panerai that doesn't look like a cross-section from an 80's microwave oven? Or a Patek that couldn't have hung from an elementary school wall?

 I always love these "lists"! The arguments they can generate are endless!

(And just for the record there are quite a few on that list I disagree with. Some more than others.... )

Lists are funny, they're so subjective you wonder the point in the end.

Some of those I agree with, others not so much.

this is turning up to be a pretty good thread. i agree with you guys regarding concord and graham.

IMO the list has more to do with collector value and innovation than aesthetics. in terms of looks every one has their own preference.

I bought my other half a Concord Saratoga - a solid 18K with diamond bezel and mozaic silver dial. Man, that is one beautifully made piece of jewellery. The quality and detail is amazing. In terms of cases and dials even if not movements, IMO the best Concord pieces can sit comfortably alongside certain Cartier pieces. But it's all in the branding isn't it?
