I'm sure the screw not being screwed in would cause a similar effect, but it's not the case in this instance as the screw was fully screwed in. The problem is the profile of the end-link. It's just not slim enough to fully rotate between the case and the springbar.
To be clear on this, I think what you are saying is link 1, the one adjacent to the end link the springbar passes through, is not fouling on the lugs. It is the end link, again for clarity the one the springbar passes through, that is fouling on the watch head as the bracelet is rotated towards the rear or the watch. What the medical boys would call a posterior bracelet rotation. Presumably because the mounting holes in the lugs to locate the springbar are closer to the watch head on the SA and provide less clearance for this posterior bracelet rotation.
Errr...... yes.

Just kidding, yes I understand what you're saying. And yes there's no fouling on the lugs ; the problem is, as you rightly said, the fact that while the holes in the lugs are far enough from the SA's head to allow the bracelet to be mounted, they are too close to the head to allow the end link to rotate, so resulting in the odd angle of the bracelet in relation to the case that you see in my pictures. In other words, it fits......, but not properly.
