ahhhh, to be the new guy in the luxury watch owning community..... I remember those days. You wont be able to wipe that stupid smile off your face or stop staring at your watch. Soon you will give in to the urge and be thinking about that second watch and then the third and so on and so on.... It becomes rediculous at times. My web browsing seems to dedicate at lease 30-40% geared towards watches. Welcome to the madness! :)

:uplaugh: That's the truth. I was so pleased to get that first one on the wrist, it may have been the most fun spending a couple grand as I ever have or will have.

Like you I am now hooked and my habit is forming into not only more watches but higher end (read priced). WIS is like a ladder that never stops, but after you have started you cant take a step backwards.

I would say 30-40% is a pretty fair estimation for my internet usage as well.

last but not least...Welcome! :lingsrock: Breilting is a great brand that you can be proud to endorse. They have offerings for all types, sizes, and prices, and really give you a chance to "grow" within the brand

Well guess what I have on my wrist? Not the Citizen anymore. The store I was in on Tuesday that started all this madness got back to me with pricing and availibity. Originally they thought they did not have one in blue and said it would be 6 weeks. Turns out they had one at their other store and they xfered it over for me. Great (at least I think so) price too. I was really considering the ADs you guys steered me toward out of state but in the end I figured for my first purchase it might be better to cultivate a relationship with somebody locally. Sure I could have saved the sales tax, but in the end it is on my wrist as I type and I feel great about the pruchase. The AD spent lots of time with me, taking about 3 trips to the back to size it right. Gave me some magazines, a B01 catalog to go with my standard one and a few other odds and ends. Looking over the magazine I see some crazy watch prices...like more then I paid for my first two houses COMBINED  Think I'll stick to hunting for the coral SO over any of those for a while.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions. I really appreciate. I'll get some pix this weekend.

BTW, I opted for just the steel braclet as the only Diver II with deployment was already on a watch, it was getting late and I wanted to get home. Save that purchase for the coming weeks.

I did manage to stick a Bell and Ross on my wrist and it looked WAY better on than in the case. I was not a fan of the chunky square look but it really jumped out at me once on my arm. Also tried on a Blackbird and a B01 cronomat. Checked out a really nice limited edition (don't remember model) with red hands and saw what the AD said was the first Breitling with the back that shows the inner workings "reveal back" perhaps was the term he used.

Thanks again!

-Rich

Congrats Rich! A good relationship with your AD is great for future service and just spending time in the store to try watches, pick up straps, etc. The blue dial should look good with the brushed bracelet.

Will be waiting for pics :) .

My first Breitling is a Steelfish too
With metal bracelet and a black dial.

I love it a lot!

I bought it used, but you can hardly see that it was ever worn before.
It has the box, the papers and a year of warranty.
I bought it here:

Congrats with yours!

Best,
Nico
