It is like you read my mind! I had been thinking of throwing a custom leather on my SOH.

On Sharkman's referral I checked out Stone Creek Straps. I usually dress my SOH down and haven't quite taken to the Bracelet option. I wanted something a little intsince I usually interesting so I ordered this.

I should have it in about a month. What do you guys think?

It will look great. I traded in my SOHC when I bought the Master Compressor. It sat there for a couple weeks and they put a ammo style Pam strap and it went the next day.

Jeanna is a great strapsmith.

I am waiting for delivery of one made by Jeanna as well. In early dec I ordered
a "signature mahogany longtail snap" strap from her(here's an example http://stonecreekstraps.com/page12.php? ... &image=353).

She is a pleasure to do business with-very prompt response to questions...Mine should be done very very soon and I have the feeling I will purchase from her again.

EDIT-I just realized we ordered the exact same strap! Diddnt check your link before I responded, lol. I can't wait for mine to get here. I think it will look great on the SOH-that watch has an old school elegance to it that a nice custom strap can enhance. I'm looking forward to getting it mounted onto my chronomat very soon...

Anyone had any custom straps made recently? I've never seen many in the Ling world, but tons for PAMs. Wonder if anyone put a custom leather strap made from a WWII ammo pouch on a ling!
.

I sure would....I love the rugged look and feel of many custom straps and I think that a Breitling can definitely pull it off. I love the quality of a Breitling strap for sure....but I have always been drawn to slight customization of my stuff and a custom strap is a way to make your B all your own without doing any thing to the watch itself...

When yours arrives let me know what you think. I am looking forward to giving the SOH a boost in the arm.

I will be sure to post a couple pics when i get it. I assume it won't be long now....its been a month or so since i ordered. Also make sure to tell Jeanna to make it compatible with spring bars. The pics on her website show it compatible with screw tubes...

Good call. I will make sure to double check the order. I just ordered a week ago, so I don't imagine she has started on it yet.
