Most of the long term sales people at the ADs I frequent have a watch of each major brand the store carries - except high end like AP. Some ADs expect their long time staff to wear the appropriate brand when the brand's Rep is visiting the store. And no one is supposed to wear a brand not carried in the stores.
My main Breitling AD's owner doesn't care - he ones one watch at a time and for the last couple years it's been an Aerospace.
The Fella I work with at the Breguet (JLC, IWC, Chopard, Panerai) AD has some amazing pieces. Including an older Reverso and Marine Big Date on bracelet.
