It depends - not all ADs have Bretiling certified watch servicers and the AD you bought it from my do more on the cheap for you. Any warranty work should go to the Service Center to avoid vitiating the warranty. For watches out of warranty, I don't care if the local guy simply regulates and lubricates. But for a full service, it's off to the service center for me - what they do there is awesome and you get a "brand new" watch.

Good clarification. I wasn't implying that the OP should have the dealer actually do the work. Rather, I meant an AD can help box up the watch and ship it, as well as receive it, should it need any work. Also, they do things like bracelet adjustments, etc.

Now, I just want to say, I don't mean to disparage any of the out-of-state dealers. In fact, my main contacts are all out of state. But then, Portland isn't exactly L.A., either. We don't have many high-end dealers here. If I were still in the Southland, and could find a good, local discounting dealer who had what I wanted, that's the way I'd go, assuming the tax issue didn't jack things up too much.

Boys, Santa came today. My AD called and said my World Navi, Silver Dial, Brown Croc strap with Deployment clasp as you guys recommended was in, just 10 days after I ordered it :lingsrock: . I just picked it up and will post pics later, I was surprised by the weight of the box and packaging....But when I looked inside :wowzers . One thing, the strap is stiff and a bit uncomfortable, but after 2-3 hours Im getting use to it :D The AD said it would soften up however. Anyone else notice this with new Croc straps?

First things first Congrats!!!!

Get pics up for us all sooner than later.

Regarding the strap....For the cost I would much rather them be stiff, and loosen to my personal wear. The thick leather of breitling's straps is awesome

Congrats on the watch...and I love white dial/brown strap combinations.

The OEM straps are all pretty stiff when you first get them, but they conform to your wrist pretty quick if you are wearing it daily. Once it does it becomes really comfortable IMO.

As others have said the croc straps soften up nicely in a couple of weeks.

One thing that you have to learn though..........

Navi World, not World Navi :nono:

Navi World, Point well taken. Yes, already the strap feels a bit better. I can already say Blackbird
