Thx Roff. I already got the impression he was just making up an excuse for the extended delay. Now I'm virtually positive. I wouldn't be surprised if they sat on it for a couple weeks before they even sent it out!

Sounds like it. Twice I got mine back about two weeks from the time I dropped it off at the AD.

The day after I posted my bitching ikn this thread.....The watch arrived ahead of expectations! I drove up to S. Coast Plaza breaking many traffic rules and suggestions along the way. I then barged into Tourneau and rudely interupted everyone in the store to get my watch immediately. There was a Saturday afternoon crowd there, and I drew a few "who is this pompous ass" looks. I wasn't proud of that, but after 6 weeks what did they want from me?

Roff was right, something was amiss as it received a complete service, not just a basic. It arrived looking brand new. There were tiny imperfections in the most hard to find places.....I will never know how they removed every one. And the accuracy.....it went in losing 9 seconds per day, and came out gaining about 7 seconds over 2.5 weeks of daily wear. Maybe they put a battery in there? I can still hear it winding so they probably didn't.....

I guess the lesson here is to use the warranty instead of holding out, that's why it's there. Here's to a happy ending!
