If you do this is the middle mans cut takes out of the cost...

Say a ABD retailer charges you £300 if you send the same watch Direct to BUK would you get it cheaper???

That's a good question. I do know that if you send a watch to Breitling directly, they will examine and give you an estimate for free. When I called them on the phone to inquire about servicing, they told me to send the watches in with a letter describing the problem. Within a week I received a call from the service department giving me the options.

There is no difference in price sending it directly - Breitling make more on the deal because they don't kick back to an AD, but consumer price is identical.

Thanks for all of the replies. I could not find any info on sending the watch directly to Breitling USA. Any phone #'s or address info would be greatly appreciated.

As for Torneau, I'm going to call them and insist that they mail the travel case to me.

I just bought one of those boxes off of a on-line auction site (you know the name). Paid less than $10.00 including shipping. I plan on using it as a travel case because thelast time I traveled with the leather case that came with the watch, the case got scuffed up. I didn't know this was a case that normally comes from a service return. I havn't owned either of my watches long enough to need a service but I guess paying less than $10.00 for the box is better than paying $400.00+ for it. However after reading this topic I will deffinately be looking for my watches to be returned in these cases.

That is unacceptable! I had my Chrono Avenger serviced a month ago by the Canadian Breitling service centre and was returned to me in a gorgeous neoprene service case.

The Manager's response to me was "Oh, we have them here. Just come in and ask for one. We don't always give them to people when they pick up their watches because they are too 'bulky' "..........WHAT BULLS%@#!!!!!

Translation: "We keep them for ourselves or to give as gifts to other customers. We hope that nobody notices, but if they do, we tell them that they are too bulky."

On a side note, ive never had a full service done on a Breitling, but ive had warranty work done a couple of times, and both times I got them back in a plastic bag after a "basic service" was performed. I always assumed that basic service didnt get a travel case back, but now im wondering if the AD took mine too

+1

There are three on ebay right now. Soonest auction ends in 17 hours from this posting. "Search Breitling Case".

Hmmmm. $10/case x XCases/year serviced by Tourneau = Y$$/year for someone in Tourneau management????

Just speculating Tourneau. Just speculating.

Seller Torneau?

I always deal direct with Breitling UK, I think so far this year I've paid £2,000 in servicing and always have received the watch back in a travel case (must say I prefer the older ones though!)

Tourneau seems to be the Wall Mark of AD's. give your business to someone who shows a little more respect and customer service.
