An Olympus has caliber 19, same as Navitimer 1461!
My question is what makes a Navitimer a Navitimer & an Olympus an Olympus when they share many of the same features - see older posts within the thread for further explanation.

I think we have differents levels
1- all are navitimers
2- one is navitimer olympus, and the other montribllant olympus. Or you can say Navitimer navitimer olympus and navitimer montbrillant olympus.
Navitimer is a navitimer for the slide rule, and the olympus I think for the 4 year calendar with moonphase (no 52 weeks subdial). But it is a navitimer too.

They name as they want.
Olympus and 1461 has the same movt cal19. But not QPs, they use cal18 or 29.
Is like asking why they call the new avenger "code yellow" and ther other anveger skyland?
To make more money with the same movt, sometimes same case only changing colors.
You have from navitimers series...
Series - (Model)
Navitimer - (navitimer 1461)
Navitimer - (montbrillant olympus)
Navitimer - (navitimer olympus)
Navitimer - (Navitimer 1952 QP)
etc etc
I think you're confusing the series with the COMPLETE model name
