Preference is very personal, so I hope you find the dial color that really does it for you. As for me, there was no contest. The blue was absolutely stunning.

:yeahthat but still, that blue dial IS absolutely stunning.

Even though I have to admit that Carl's combo is really not bad either. Question is: will it be enough to tip the scale over when I pick up mine?

That Breitling blue on the dials is the most beautiful I have seen on any watch. It seems to carry into the Colt lineup as well, and especially the regular Superocean.
This may sound utterly ridiculous, but I am so taken by the Steelfish - this is my second one - it is tempting to get at least one other at some point. I would love to have one of each dial colour!
Although the Steelfish is only a couple of mm larger than the Colts or the Superocean, it has the 22mm lug width, which really gives the watch a heftier look. The ss bracelet on either the black or blue is outstanding!
I even got an Ocean Racer strap for my black dial Steelfish, and that looked incredible!
I found this post from April 2008! I had no idea it had been that long ago. Why did I ever sell that beautiful black dial Steelfish?! Steelfish on Ocean Racer strap:

What is even better, is that it can be had with a brushed clasp.
Now I have an even better idea. What about the brown OR for the silver dial Steelfish? Back to the configurator!
Cheers,
Carl

Well, thanks Carl,

I hadn't seen that post. A Steelfish with the proper rubber deployant really underlines the dial.

That post comforts my choice.

And from what Sharkman has already said, it must be really comfortable too.

The OR is a very comfortable strap, and the clasp on it is wonderful! I wish they would offer a leather strap with that clasp as well! A year or so ago, I saw a couple of posts, where the guy actually had an aftermarket leather strap made to fit the deployant. I like the Breitling deployant for their leather straps as well, but I find the one for the OR is just sportier, and better suits the diver watches.
Cheers,
Carl
