I also second the thought that B for Bentley is the most faked Breitling. I happened to be in Chinatown in NYC few weeks ago and there were tons of fake B for Bentley watches.

I still think they are great watches (which they are), but as others have said, they're faked in huge numbers that are then worn by "bling-bling wannabes", which is a great shame. As a result (and this isn't Breitling's fault at all) I think they've lost a lot of the class they once had.

i agree with you driver8 there are alot of fakes and there seems to be alot of wanksters that wear this watch.... dammit i own one just hope i dont look like a wankster wearing it. :?

I like the styling, for reasons RJRJRJ has expressed well. I wouldn't buy one though, I really don't like the brand tie-in.
+1

Same with Ferrari Panerai. Somehow makes me feel a bit of a wannabe if I don't own the car... Of course that's just me!

Agreed. If I'm going to buy a prestigious watch, I want the prestige to come from the maker of the watch, not some marketing tie-in to a car that I don't own.

Plus, the notion of me wearing a Bentley or Ferrari watch and driving a Commodore seems faintly ridiculous.

Let's try and keep this thread on the original topic please guys.

(Of course if someone wants to start an Off Topic thread on the E550 vs the BMW 550 I'll be only too pleased to jump in on the side of the BMW 550..... being as I own one!) :D

This really is the last comment on cars! @Boogiebot - thanks, but mine's not the 2011 model. It's one of the last E60's with the M-Sport pack.

I was once a big fan of the Bentley line, I've owned two, a 6.75 and a Motors T. I've sold both because I got tired of the size and bling factor. The 6.75 actually started to hurt my wrist from its weight so I stopped wearing it. They're very nice looking pieces, very unique, but they were no longer practical for me to wear in a business setting; especially since they didn't fit under my shirt.

I still wouldn't mind adding a Bentley Mark VI, I have a thing for moon phases with perpetual calendars and I think it blows away my two Olympus models.

I've thought that wearing something that big would get tiresome. This is the reason I would never wear the Motors or the 6.75. I do like the GT and have always liked the Mark VI, the non perpetual calendar model, but the platinum bezel means I'll never be buying one.

I also like the GT; I very much regret not buying one of Shark's a few months ago, they were beautiful. One thing I forgot to mention about the 6.75, I absolutely loved the design of the case back, the Bentley Rim was a very cool design element but I believe it added to my discomfort.
