Hate...a strong word...

I agree! It's 'kin horrible! Take a beautiful watch and do your best to uck it up! (silly folk)

I am considering my 'in' with Breitling, it may be 'out'

I have to ask, what special in have you got with Breitling other than working at a Breitling AD. I can't get confirmation of these pieces from any of my contacts, and neither apparently has anyone else - here, WUS, TZ, etc so it can't simply be an AD communication.

This is also the largest number of LEs ever announced in one go outside of Basel, and the timing seems odd given that Switzerland is shutting down for a month.

Not doubting you for a minute, just wondering what your special 'in' is.

Red big date!!! Oh why don't they just break down and go all the way - a quartz version with red LED big date.

Something strange here. Just sayin'

+1. And to be even more controversial, I like the polished SS better than the brushed finish.
Best,

Not so sure about this one but perhaps in needs to be seen in the flesh. I know the red works well with the Blacksteel version but no so sure about the Polished or brushed.

I agree 100%. The more I look at it the more I hate it. It's like a car accident, I can't turn away. I know people may say I don't have a true Blackbird because it's polished not brushed, but this thing is an atrocity.

Very interesting. I always thought the blackbird would look nice with red accents, then the BlackSteel version came out. I liked the dial but did not care for the BS even though this made for a true all black BB. When I saw it in person it was just too dark overall (add issues of scratching, etc.)

Now here is the best of both worlds for me, red accents with SS case - I hope it can be obtained in brushed SS,??. The big red date is quite bold at first, but I think one could get used to it. I actually like the idea of making all the chrono function hands/dials in a different color. It seems to separate these functions from the 'regular' white time indicators to help make them stand out clearly.
Put a black strap with red stitching (may have to be non-OEM) on it and wham - nice combo :)

I understand a lot of poeple are disappointed with all the BS and color accent additions, but hey, why not mix it up a little, some of these designs/dials have been around for a while now. Time will tell if they sell out. Just my thoughts

Damn my brushed BB just got a whole lot nicer. I think I'll kiss mine and not punch it after seeing that mess. Give me two hours on photoshop and I'll give you something better than that!
FAIL! :guns:

I believe you...I think my 10 year old daughter could come up with something nicer than that. Hell, mfserge did a better job than that with his BS LE drawing the other day.

This black/red bird is an absolute mess! Are all these watch he legit or is someone having a field day with photoshop? I wish I had photoshop, you guys would have a dozen mfserge limited editions everyday.

How about 'Breitling Red Robin'.. YUMMMM No matter what you call it, it will still be ugly. NOW....put some yellow in there like a previous member suggested and it might look interesting. Someone get to work on photoshop?? I don't feel like breaking out the crayons and getting in trouble again.
