Something else I am considering(I don't know what it is but I like the simplicity of them) The Cockpits!

Definite possibility!?

+1 for the Cockpit. But keep in mind that it was discontinued a month ago, so you may not be able to order one at an AD, but instead you can only buy the ones they have on stock. When that stock dries out, you will only be able to buy one 2nd hand.

CONGRATS!

Have you ever given the thought to a Pre-Owned Navitimer - closer to $2k on a strap and/or $2.5k & up on a bracelet - certainly doable for $3k. The Navitimer would be an instant classic! Sporty & Dressy!

Best Regards,

Enezdez

The guys have already given you all the ideas I would've (and a few I might not!  ), so I just want to say congrats on the engagement!

Oh and if your best man falls though, and you just happen to have a spare Breitling going free come wedding day, I'm sure I could drag myself to stand in for him!

Congrats again!

Haha Thanks! I think he will be there :nana:

True,(about the Navitimer!) However, I feel as though(for a special gift/occasion) I should buy new for some reason...If it were for myself I would definitely buy a mint second hand one though!

just to clarify my initial propotition of the SO. It has all the right Breitling ques with the right style riders and bezel. With the black dial and leather it looks fantastic and it´s on the smal-ish side of Breitling. It offers terrific bang for buck as it´s very appropriately priced. It´s not even the cheapest "B" around as that honor goes to the Colt line. It´s quite a lot more popular compared to the Cockpit too.

...But having said that I completely understand the idea of the Cockpit as a more high end alternative. You have a very lucky brother!

Buy It now. It's not gonna go down in price. That's for sure.
