Hmmmmmmmm, I wonder what's next - a Blacksteel version of every single model right from the Navitimer range through to the Professional range perhaps? And all of them looking 90% the same as the original AS Blacksteel?

Or maybe a DLC Blacksteel Bakelite box, or perhaps a Blacksteel warranty booklet and manual? Or maybe a Blacksteel Breitling shop, with all the staff DLC'd as well....

Jeez what's with this pre-occupation with producing every damn model in Blacksteel???? :huh And every single one with red accents? What's wrong with going a little wacky and trying a little blue perhaps, or just about any other colour, instead of yet another Aeromarine Blacksteel model with red accents? I just don't get it, and IMO it really diminishes the impact (and value) of the original AS Blacksteel. I'm sorry but I really think you most certainly can overdo a (fairly) good idea. In fact I thought that when they made the Blacksteel SA............ which at the time even Breitling themselves couldn't tell apart from the AS version on their own website!

Having said that, I think this SW Chrono looks pretty good..... but all my usual reasons of "won't buy one because of the surface coating" still applies.

I think the Blacksteel models are interesting but I'd pass on account of the Quartz movement. I would have loved to add a Blacksteel Skyland to the collection but I missed out on that one unfortunately.

completely with D8 on this, what an easy time the designer has.........

Breitling should be spending sometime putting the lovely new motor in a good case or fixing the good awful bezel

Not sure why the blacksteel is such a big deal... Maybe because it's different?

The biggest problem with it is the fact you can't restore the finish in any way. Nick, scratch or dent and it's done.

Nearly every watch I have get's the accidental bump and for the most part it can be rubbed out.

Want to sell it down the road? It better be perfect... "Blacksteel for sale... great condition except for the small dents and scratches you can't repair" Who's going to want it?

They should have named it "blackglass" or something. Never to be worn only to be seen.

HMMMM I could park it in the safe next to my other un wearable watch..

It does look good, but it's not for me. If I'm going to buy something quartz, its reason for existing is to be bulletproof and fixable if I bash it into something.

txturbo - your signoff is awesome. I love that movie :D

Love the dial! Agree with others - would be nice to see it in SS.

Put that B01 motor in a Blackbrid case or at the very least replace that bezel!

I was really dissapointed to hear that even sending it in for a service Breitling can't fix any scratches or dings on a Blacksteel... kind of a deal breaker for me as I would like to wear it and not worry!

Would you include a new set of magic markers when you sold your Blacksteel...

"A few dings and scratches but will include a BNIPC (Brand New In Plactic Case) set of high end magic markers"

Would look pimp with a big fat Kevlar strap, although I have to echo a little disappointment over the lack of refinishing. And no, there will be no Sharpies near my watches, even my black G-Shocks.
