I called Breitling and they said they would not tell me anything over the phone even about the warranty card. I was told to send it in to them to check.

Yeah they would.

Take it to an AD and have the AD contact Breitling. Breitling will tell the AD what is in the database for that serial number - 13022 would be my guess.

Lord alone knows how the paperwork got a different reference to the watch, I don't see anything wrong with the paperwork, and the watch is definitely real.

No help contacting Breitling they said I would have to send the watch in. I guess warranty card info is top secret.

Finks Jewelry the only local dealer would not help. They said quote "you did not purchase the watch from us and for us to help you that it would be a conflict of interest". Really they said that. Finks phone number is 704-927-4888. It is just to bad for me!!!

They should lose their dealership for that.

+1

At the end of the day, while it is weird, there really isn't a problem. The warranty is worthless after two years, and the watch is real.

I'm not leaping to their defense, but Fink's in Norfolk, VA have been very helpful. They got me a new leather strap (at a discount) for an old Cosmo that I obviously did not pruchase from them. They contacted BUSA for me with a dial question, and other stuff as well. I only have good things to say about them here. :D

However, the response you got from your local store is quite reprehensible! Not exactly the way to cultivate future sales or build a good reputation.

I just purchased the same watch (different serial number in the 6000's) and the watch and paperwork are the exact same as the original poster's in this thread. I had to send the watch back today after only having it for a half hour because there was a issue with the Chronograph function that needs the sellers watchmaker to look at/fix. When I get it back I will re look over all the paperwork but on initial observation it was the same. Meaning the watch had a D13022 on the case back and the paperwork showed it as a D13020. It kinda caused me a little concern at first till I found this thread but most of my used watches I buy dont come with papers anyway so no big deal to me as long as the watch is authentic.

Also here is another one, same numbers for sale on Ebay now.
