Unless you have a need to show off the Bentley in a hotel pool then why even wear it? I would'nt wanna risk scuffing oit on the side of a pool or anything like that. Imagine if you do have an unfortunate incident then youll be kicking your self.

I've always felt the same way. There's no need to be stylin' while swimming, (or exercising) so why put the wear on the watch? That's why I've got a heart rate monitor and a rubber sports watch. For me, it's solely a question of whether I would feel comfortable leaving the watch in the room safe, or better if I kept in on my person at all times.

Well the experts agree it is safe so it seems, like most topics on here, that it all comes down to personal choice.

I feel much more comfortable with my watch on my wrist than leaving it somewhere so I wear it all the time (plus, it's my only watch so, if I want to know how long I've been frying in the sun, I need it).

Here's my Chrono Evo in the Bellagio pool a couple of weeks ago...

It was fine.

Here's a thought to consider. Once, I had a relatively inexpensive watch that I removed from my wrist while on the beach. I forgot I took it off and ended up loosing the watch. Since then I can't tell you how many times I have taken off a watch to get in the shower and then ended up dropping the watch by carelessly setting it on a towel only to have it drop to the floor. Now that I wear some more expensive watches, I wear them most of the time. In the shower, in the pool, even in bed some of the time. Most of the time, I have found the safest place for a watch is right on my wrist. And , of course, I avoid leather most of the time for that very reason.

@Mister_mustard: Perhaps pool water is not safe. It appears to have badly harmed your bezel!!!!

Ha ha - touché.

In my defence, it was the last day and we had to check-out at 12 so we figured it was best to leave the pool by 11.35: I was counting down the minutes till the fun was over.

I was going to post some more pictures from the trip when I get a chance - I'd better check for BNA* in the other photos...
